We explore and design people's urban experience by deconstructing and reframing social, physical, and digital elements of human-centered cities.

We take a systematic approach through five steps:

1.BIG QUESTION

We explore and theorize the evolution of  the people, technology, space, culture and communities in cities. 

4. SOCIAL ATTRIBUTES

We collect, interpret, and develop user insights based on their sociodemographic background, attitudes, and behaviors.

2. SCENARIO CONTEXT

We research and visualize the history of a specific urban scenario and its business ecosystem based on cases. 

5. BUSINESS DESIGN

We work with partners to turn insights into tangible urban experience, and scale it as sustainable business in China market. 

3. SPATICAL INTERACTION 

We map and analyze how people interact, connect, and scale their behaviors in space through spatial, network, and qualitative data.

We explored the definition of city by asking young people from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou the question: “What is a city ?”.

The Amazing City

The Amazing City is a 48-hour city challenge, which encourages young people to explore and interact with the cities they live in by finishing different city tasks in 48 hours.

City Talk 

City Talk is a series of sharing sessions organized by Max Lab and its authorized communities inviting influential city designers to share their insights.

THE BOXX

THE BOXX is the first community based digital culture mall empowered by 5G application in China for young people. Max Lab works with THE BOXX team to capture, analyze, and conceptualize the intersection of spatial behavior and emerging culture.
